Getting you back on the water…

The sailing season in Maine isn’t very long, so it’s essential to eek out every last day and weekend we can.

Whether it’s a quick re-restitch on your sunshade, replacing a luff slide on your main, patching a spinnaker or replacing the foot on your daysailer, we want to get you back out there as soon as possible.

For cruisers, we are less than 700ft from the Belfast dingy dock and are happy to help carry sails up to the loft. Give us a call or send an email to ensure we can get it done when you need it.

Keeping you on the water…

Our repair philosophy at Belfast Bay Sailmakers is that a quality repair is worth the time in the loft, because it means that you’re going to spend more time on the water when you don’t have to bring something back in next year.

So, we err on the side of stitched cloth rather than sail repair tape and insignia cloth, replacing the weak cloth rather than bandaging the hole. And, we hope you’ll appreciate it when your sail doesn’t need the same repair in a year or two.

Drop it off and call us…

While we don’t keep as many regular shop hours as some sailmakers, that doesn’t mean we aren’t here to take care of you.

Give us a call and drop your sail in the box right out in front of the loft.
